Moving library, forward thinking

The Library On Wheels Initiative aims to enhance literacy and foster a love for reading among children in schools across Ghana. By organizing a mobile library that reaches underserved communities, this project aims to provide access to a diverse range of books, foster educational engagement, and enhance literacy rates.

Our Target

To develop a mobile library that travels to various villages, equipped with books suitable for different age groups and reading levels. This will improve literacy rates among children in schools and communities, leading to better educational outcomes.

Our Objectives

Access to Knowledge

To provide mobile library services that deliver a variety of reading materials to schools and communities, promoting access to knowledge and literature.

Book Club

To organize storytelling sessions, reading clubs, and workshops to encourage children to engage with books and improve their reading skills from an early age

Community Involvement

To encourage community involvement by organizing events that promote reading and literacy, involving parents, teachers, and local leaders.

Teacher Training

To provide training for teachers on effective literacy teaching practices and how to utilize the resources available through the mobile library.
